Couples Therapy

Unlearning the Old. Learning Something Better. Together.

Couples Therapy

In couples therapy, we focus on what’s not working in your relationship—and we work to change it. Whether you’re struggling with conflict, distance, infidelity, parenting stress, or the loss of intimacy and trust, we start by identifying the patterns that keep you stuck.

I don’t take sides, and I don’t sugar-coat things. I help both partners see how their behaviors are affecting the relationship. For example, I might say:
“While I understand you feel mistreated, your defensiveness is pushing your partner away. If I were your spouse, I’d feel like retreating too. What would happen if you responded more vulnerably, with the goal of being heard rather than being right?”

Couples therapy is about learning to relate differently—to communicate more honestly, to respond more vulnerably, and to connect more deeply. These are skills that can be learned. If both partners are willing to engage, change is not only possible—it’s powerful.
